man coding

We often hear the question “How do I know I need a new website?” In the digital world, what might seem young to you is actually quite old. And with your website being the digital face of your business, you need it to be on point. Below are the 5 signs you need a new website.

1. You’re website is not mobile or tablet optimized.

Most of us have smartphones and most of us use our phones for things we used to use our computers for. Chances are your customers are looking at your website on their phone, therefore you need that website to be mobile optimized!

2. It’s been over 4 years since your last redesign.

A website should be updated every 2-3 years, so if your website is over 4 years old, it’s definitely out of date and older looking. Just look at your website next to some of your competitors and you’ll see the difference.

3. Your branding has changed.

Branding changes are fun and exciting, but don’t forget about your website when you do any brand changes!

4. You’re not ranking well.

If you don’t rank well on Google, your SEO could have something to do with this, but it could also be because your website is outdated. There are certain coding practices that require you to rank well and an old website just won’t have the correct coding.

5. Your website isn’t https.

The “s” in https stands for secure. You don’t want your customers going to a website that says, “Not secure” at the top of it. It’s gotten to the point where Chrome, the most widely used internet browser, is blocking anything that isn’t https.
